Rosa’s Thai

Project overview

Rosa’s Thai opened its 19th restaurant and first in Manchester in 2020

…and wanted regional support to drive awareness of the brand and its offering. Owner Saiphin Moore, who opened the first restaurant on Brick Lane in 2008, created a menu inspired by her childhood on her family’s farm in northern Thailand.

ECHO worked with Rosa’s on pre-launch, launch and post-launch campaign.

Objective

While Rosa’s Thai is classed as a chain restaurant

…with Manchester being its 19th venue, it has a strong and authentic back story, with owner Saiphin Moore very much involved in the decision making and new menus. It was key that this shone through in the communications – a press trip to London to the original site and to meet Saiphin helped to build on this back story and create excitement in the run-up to opening.

Ongoing media relations, influencer engagement and outreach to local stakeholders ensured a successful launch campaign and most importantly, a busy restaurant.

Results

Favourite PR moment: Taking press down to London and visiting several different Rosa’s sites to help build a picture of what to expect when it opened in Manchester.

Switched-on, smart PR that makes more noise.
